It is not quite the most beautiful island, but the card looked nice. Hopefully they will move the airport from there, even they are a lot of protests.

Hope you get better soon. I found something out when reading your (and Bamsas) card...my grandfather had the same name 'Ernst' I thought that was a Swedish name only.

As I said previously, here I am to show you the nice postcard I got from Una Smith!

 New Mexico

Mexican Gold Poppies and Prickly Pear Cacti

 New Mexico backside

Here's the backside of it - She does have a nice handwriting!!!

Thanks Una, once again!

Unhappily, the postman folded the postcard before dropping it in my mailbox! There is a visible mark on it If I had seen him or her doing this!!!
You never fold postcards because postcards are not letters - what a dumb!!

Ok!
I just thought that Holland was the country of tulips. I know people from Sweden do travel to Holland only for the flowers...well, I guess they like to see the country tooOOO, but in general we (or at least me) think TULIPS!

And windmills and polders... And last, but not least, the wooden shoes - I don't know the English word for it - how are they called in Dutch, Chantal?

It's the same with our "opinci" but now, beig so far from home, I would love to have a pair. I guess I never appreciated those things when I was home, in Romania. In Faroe Islands half of the population has the traditional Faroese shoes. I guess they are more keen of preseving the tradition...
