Hi! Only experts can rate and evaluate translations? Because I get some translations t evaluate, but I´m not an expert (hopefully yet!:P).

If there's a translation to be accepted and we couldn't understand the source text we ask for the opinion from the comunity, and that's when you can evaluate it, by seeing the votes from the users, we can know if the text is right or not, then we see your messages in the translation and accept/reject/edit it.

Oh, OK. thank you. Another quiestion: what can I do if one of my translations is rejected and I´m a netive speaker of the language and I´m SURE it´s right, although someone who´s an expert but not a native speaker corrected it???

You can post a message below the concerned translation explaining your point of view, and you check the option "I want an administrator to check this page". Then we'll discuss it

Hi! And when do the blue stars appear in my profile? After having done a gicen number of translation or ... ? Just curious how this whole rating system works just to know in case I can get some stars for a nice translation.... :-)

You have blue stars for hungrian and croatian. If you did transaltion in other languages, the stars will appear when an expert evaluate them.
By the way, don't forget it's better to translate in your native language.

So donating points will decrease the possibility to get to a higher level?

I just doubt,
when I donated some points to other members, I found my points were not reduced. If I did not remember wrong.

When you donate points, or request a translation, your "level" is not changed. The level is based only on the points you earned, not the opints you spent.

Tzicu, just place the mouse on the name of the language, and you'll see the points you have. Place the mouse on the stars and you'll know your rating, OK?
