| Hello! I'm new here! What's up?
My name is Mireia, and I don't really know its real meaning! There's an hypothesis about it comes from "milagro" ("miracle" in English) and another hypothesis says it comes from Greek... I have no idea!
Greetings from Spain, people!

| Hi Mireia, a very fresh cucumis member! |
| 30 September 2007 16:29 |
| Hey I found your name meaning:
Catalan and Spanish form of Provençal Mireio. Meaning: "to admire."
Very nice...
Welcome to our (water)melon... |

| Wow! Thank you!! Right now, everytime somebody asks for the meaning of my name I'll remember you!
Enjoy the (water)melon! :P

I´m a beginner here, and already a big fan of your site, I like!!
My real name is Pia, and today I first understood the meaning.
The name Pia is the feminine version of Pius, meaning pious, dutifull.
Well....I don´t know for sure if that´s me
Anyway, Yesterday I received a chain-letter, It has nothing to do with names...I KNOW
but it´s realy fun I guess.

| I think I first saw this about 3 or 4 years ago in English. There was no Cambridge Study, but it's still fun. It's interesting for me to see that I can also read the French one easily - cool!
Here is some more information about this. snopes.com is usually a good source to find out information about the authenticity and origin of things that get circulated on the internet. |
| 30 September 2007 20:24 |
| And this page, which I found linked from the snopes.com page, is some really fun reading, and it has versions of this thing, including the one Francky posted above, in the following languages:
Spanish
French
Dutch
Danish
German
Czech
Icelandic
Portugese (Brazilian)
Swedish
Bahasa Indonesia
Russian
Albanian
Hungarian
Italian
Irish (Gaelic)
Polish |
