| Carina. Chissà se è quella giusta... |

| Carina è carina, però credo si tratti di slang. Forse sarebbe il caso di chiedere il parere di qualche indigeno. |

| Questa frase mi sta facendo disperare ! La settimana prossima devo consegnare un lavoro ad un cliente, e questa era la frase che mi era venuta in mente, ma non ne sono sicura. Ringrazio anche tutti coloro che mi hanno aiutato per la traduzione che purtroppo sono state rifiutate. Apple,ha ragione è meglio farla vedere ad un indigeno! |

| Questa sarà una seconda "darn it"! (remember?)
Da google capisco che deve avere un significato particolare, ma niente di più. |

| I remember, Apple ! E mo' che facciamo? |

| English natives and experts, please, can you understand what this text means? I think it must be some slang, but I can't find out its meaning. |
| 2007年 5月 31日 16:47 |
| Doesn't make sense to me.. |

| Ho chiesto a Tantine ma non gli è venuto in mente nulla... |

| URGENT edit/NOTE: Quite a few of the picture are X RATED (unless you view them from a very progressive artistic point in which case they are X RATED). Be careful before you start browsing the site.
A google search produced the following
http://www.beefmastermagazine.com/
Now
a) It does seem that it's not supposed to make all that much sense
OR
b)I am not artistic enough to understand it.
Maybe the requester (who, as I see, speaks English) should contact the owner of the site and ask what is the exact meaning of the phrase? And perhaps inform those of us who are curious about it? |

| Tsk tsk Xini! You have to keep an open mind! True, in most of these "paintings"' case you should also keep your eyes tightly shut (and I am not referring to the pornografic quality of some of them, I am talking about their quality period)but that's just my narrow minded opinion. You've got to try to do better than I can ever convince myself to do (don't ask me why, you just have to). |

| Ciao Mela,
Sorry, this message is quite long, I hope you don't have too many difficulties with my logic
Firstly, is there a context to the phrase at all, where does it come from? A poem, a song? Maybe even its destination could throw some light on this linguistic mystery.
Without a context the word "bow" could be the verb synonym to "bend", but it could also be the verb "bow", as in to play a violin....
"Bow" is also a knotted ribbon and "bow" can be descriptive in the sense of a "bow window"
Beef - besides being meat and, pejoratively, indicating even human muscle - beef is used as a verb as in to be angry about something "to have a beef about", or as in to strengthen something "to beef up".
My best guess is that this means something like: "Hey Muscleman, kiss my feet" implying that the "Muscleman" in question is his inferior, despite his muscles.
I hope my reflexions can help you, but I'm afraid that without a context, I am unable to do any better.
I believe your translation is about the same as my "interpretation". So at least we are both seeing the same idea in these words.
U nostru vitellu si chjama "Melu"

| I have never heard of "bow beef for you master" - it sounds like a corruption of "bow deep(ly) for your master". I can only imagine one meaning of "bow" in this case (to bend [your body or head] in submission), but I don't know how "beef" fits in. |

| Thanks everybody. Tantine, I had the same guess this morning at work (beef for = before), but I will leave the copyright to you.
The fact is that what I found on google made me think...
Ricciodimare, non avevo notato che la richiedente eri tu stessa: allora ci potrai dare qualche elemento relativo al contesto (speriamo bene...) |

| hahahahahahahah, irini
I thought you were talking seriously!!!!
Kafetzou, one of those "Artists" (the second link sent by irini) is from Vancouver. So, you have such a great artist at home and you don't even know him!!
Shame on you! |

| Oh! "beef for" = "before" - it's a play on words! Why didn't *I* think of that? |
| 2007年 6月 1日 20:16 |
| Duh! Now I feel stupid! I love bad puns and all and I totally missed it. Kafetzou in a lame effort to excuse us both (I'm putting you in to make excusing myself less pathetic) I guess it's the "double" F that "forces" one to stop after saying "beef" and before pronouncing "for" that clouded our (or mine at any rate ) thinking.
Apple OK next time I'm being ironic I'll try to be less subtle |
