Could you provide a bridge for translation, please? Shared points CC: User10 | | | 28 Gusht 2012 00:14 | | | Hi Lilian
Of course (bridge is for free): " Hello my baby! Goodmorning, how are you doing? many kisses! "

I thought the semi-column was used, and not the interrogation mark in Greek
Note that I submitted a copy-paste from the text to google translator, because I like it for Greek, first it's a nice woman's voice, then it gives me an idea on how to pronounce. And I was very surprized to hear the voice marking the "regular" interrogation mark ( " ? " )with an interrogative stress at the end of the sentence, whereas it was affirmative after I replaced the "?" with a semi-column... | | | 28 Gusht 2012 15:14 | | | Hi Franck!
You are right. In Greek the question mark is the English semicolon. Some Facebook/ chat room users use the sign of the English question mark instead of the Greek question mark while they write in Greek (and not in Greeklish). Of course that's not linguistically acceptable (nor is the Greeklish, these are just facebook/ chat room phenomena).
As for the google translator, I did what you did and I had, more or less, the same impression as you. Well, it seems that the lady with the nice voice (hahaha! I like your motives, though I'm not sure it's authentic human voice) got confused about this one. But since you were able to detect the error (!) it seems that in general she gives a pretty good idea of the right pronunciation. | | | 28 Gusht 2012 15:36 | | | |
