The Republic of Moldova has a favourable climate and fertile soil. The main part of the economy is represented by agriculture: the main Moldavian products are fruits, vegetables, wine and tobacco. The construction of the Oil Terminal at GiurgiuleÅŸti, which will increase Moldova's access to the international oil market and reduce its chronic energy dependency on Russia, will be finalized in May 2006.
