Ho letto con attenzione il suo scritto del x (data).

non voglio entrare nel merito di tutta questa storia, ma le comunico che:

- i signori XX le avevano già comunicato verbalmente in giugno l'intenzione di togliere il cancello;
- i muri della casa ed il giardino sono parte comune di tutta la PPP;
- con la lettera del x sapeva della riunione e ha preso posizione in merito;
- ho saputo solamente con la sua lettera del x la sua intenzione di vendere, e con la lettera del x chi era incaricato della compra-vendita;

I have read your letter dated (date) carefully.
I will not judge this story, but I will tell you that:
- Mr XX has already communicated with you in June about wanting to remove the gate;
- the walls of the house and the garden are common parts of the PPP;
- with the letter from X you knew about the meeting and stated your position.
- I knew from your letter of X, about your intention of selling and from the letter of X that I was in charge of the selling-purchasing
- Mr. XX didn't know either that the cultivated garden invaded the land XX and that the XXX was the property of Mrs. XX.
- I hope that all XXX reach an agreement about the property, at the next meeting I intend to discuss and find a solution to all the problems.
The arch is at your disposal, Mrs Ruggia has the gate.
I'm sending the expense invoice on September 30, 2007.
With my best regards

Normally, I would just reject a translation with this many corrections needed, because it takes me a long time to do what I did above, but since you asked me about another one that was rejected, I'm giving you a chance to correct them yourself this time.

Also, even if all of these are corrected, I'll still need to put the translation to a vote, because I cannot read/speak Italian.

This is better. I've made a few more corrections (but I had to guess in some cases) and I will now put it to a vote.

Thanks for your time.
I'll try to be more careful next time.But, you know...the original sometimes has to be adapted to fit. I didn't know I could do that, I thought I just was supposed to do a literal translation.

You're supposed to do a translation that reads correctly in English, and that an English speaker would be able to understand easily. Sometimes that involves changing the words somewhat.
