Hello my honey. are you doing well. As you know, I´ll be back at work tomorrow, it won't be so much fun. I'd rather be with you. I miss you very much and I look forward to being together with you again. A kiss and hug from your love

Hi kafetzou,
yes....Halo = Hello

are you ok = How are you
(or the same meaning) It is maybe more like..do you feel alright, but I guess that is the same

hence = The word (??)I try to find for something that is obvious, like, 'of course' or like in another sense 'WHY, we're going tomorrow '
hm...I could not find any better word. Is it ok to write something like:
Why, I will begin at work tomorrow, it will not be so nice.

it give pleasure = it gives me pleasure = I'm happy ....that is the word!

Kiss and hug = A kiss and a hug
I guess the origin text is in singular

Should I correct that?
Greetings from Pia

1) We say "Are you OK?" when someone has fallen or doesn't look well - it's not a general question.

2) Instead of "I will hence begin at work tomorrow", how about "You know, I will begin work tomorrow," although this still sounds a bit awkward. If it's a new job, we would say, "You know, I'll be starting work tomorrow," but if it's a job the person already had, we would say, "You know, I'll be back at work tomorrow."

3) Yes, it would be nice if you make these edits yourself - that would save me some work.

Thank you for fast respond

1)...ok, I understand now.. guess the meaning in this text is more like a question, are you doing alright...in general

2) The text is not realy telling if it is a new job or the "old one" ,your first proposal to me sounds like a correct translation, but not very fluid I think? but to me your last proposal "You know, I'll be back at work tomorrow." seem to be the best one...

3)OK, I will try to correct that.

kafetzou,
I also changed the word nice to FUNNY.
I think that is a better word in this text, hope you do not mind..
Have a nice day or evening/night I guess in your country.

"funny" is not correct. Funny is something we laugh at. Maybe it should be "it won't be much fun" or "it won't be so much fun".

I really starting to feel that you already must think that I´m a real pain, but I just have to make a few comments here as well:

I would personally just have translated "skat" to "honey" or "darling" and not "treasure" (translating "skat" to "treasure" seems to me like translating "honey" to "honningmus" which you CAN do but why not use the most common way of saying "honey" in Danish?)

And just a suggestion: "As you know, I´ll be back at work tomorrow..."

And another one: "glæder mig til" = "I look forward to" (...) "at vi igen kan være sammen" = "being together with you again" (note the "again" that should be kept in the translation.)

It's allright Anita I guess the whole 'thing' about this is to get a good translation at last. so I do not think you are a pain! And since I am not from Denmark I think your knowledge about danish is MUCH better than mine.
I think all your suggestions are good,hm...
that makes me feel like a thief or something, steeling all your ideas.
Maybe we could share the points?

Is that ok Kafetzou?

I've accepted the translation - thank you to you both. pias, if you want to give Anita_Luciano some of the points you earned on this one, you can do that, but you don't have to - cucumis is always a cooperative process.
