In the field of data collection and indicators, dentists are well known for the quality of the data they retain on their individual patients – and we all know the crucial role of forensic dentistry field such as criminal investigations and post-disaster identification. However, there is no unified source of information through which we can establish a picture of oral health in the world today and from which we can measure year-on-year progress and develop a monitoring system.
