I am invisible up in the tree leaves
Filling my little life with it’s meaning,
I am weaving my thin thread of silk.
There's great many so close to each other,
One is silkworm and so is another,
All are weaving their own threads of silk
Okay, if I would have translated from this English version I might have written a few things a bit different in a few places in my translation... since to me the english one doesn't really look exactly like the russian original I got, there are a few very small differences!
Pia,
I think that they are similar, except from the first line. But the meaning is still there. I think that I can accept this one, but to be sure...I set it to the poll now.
Yes.... I just think it looks a bit different in Russian: there is no "little" and well, it is not really close... "invisible", I think that could really be discussed and I think that my Swedish translation is also okay (though I would have choosen the word "osynlig" instead of "obemärkt" if I had translated from the english text and not from the russian one). Of course it could be translated into that, if translating very freely?
The structure of the sentence differs too...
Well, I guess I think my translation is closer to the russian original than the translation that I would do from this english (maybe "true" ) original would be... and I was translating from the russian text... So I guess I think there are differences (though small) and that it isn't really fair to judge my translation from this bridge... but I may be wrong, I am not the russian-expert. If you translate from one language to a second to a third some small things could maybe change... (though they shouldn't).
