Hello,

I would suggest a better translation of the firs part --> "You might accuse me of discrimination, but..." (The "I don't know" is not really accurate)

Minny has translated according to the Danish submission, where it's written: "I do not know".

Young zealous people of , one tip I'd give you about giving your opinion on a translation :

- Always base yourself on the original text before telling it is not accurately translated.

- Also note that if "je ne sais pas si je vais être accusé de discrimination" is slightly different in its form from "vous allez peut-être m'accuser de discrimination", it is nevertheless telling exactly the same thing, one being at the active form and the other at the passive one ("je vais être accusé par vous" at one hand, and "vous allez m'accuser" at the other one)
"je ne sais pas" was replaced by "peut-être" in the French version. Purpose of this modification to the French version was simply to get the most fluent expression in French.

Here again (same as about the translation done by this young Polish user about the city of Lviv) I won't switch with "je ne sais pas si je vais être accusé...", as it seems to me it is more current and more natural in French to say "vous allez peut-être m'accuser de"...-which is a very standard introduction, whatever the topic, in a discussion into French.

That was just to tell you did not rely on right bases to express this opinion (although I know you did it honestly)you had about this translation.

Personally, I didn't meant to say it was not an accurate translation. When I said that I agreed with Tzicu it was about the version he gave: "You might accuse me of discrimination, but...", because I think it sounds better that way (even if I know that Minny translation is based in the Danish text).

No problem, Sweety, it was just to make sure you did understood the process. While I was delivering my speech, Lilian validated Minny's translation.

I appreciate your argument, Francky, but it is rather difficult to base an evaluation on the original language of the text if that language is not known; and whatever we do when we are asked to help with the evaluation is to express our opinions according to our command of the languages concerned, and those opinions can either be taken into consideration or not.

Nevertheless, we've learnt something new regarding the French language, and that explanation would've been quite satisfactory, without the need of questioning our basis for evaluation.
