14:46 | | | I'm going to answer in English, because my French may not be good enought to give you two a proper answer.
1) It often happens that I do a translation myself a few minutes after rejecting one, because the act of rejecting has called that translation to my attention.
2) Sybel, your translation was not terrible - it's just that it wasn't the best English it could be.
3) turkishmiss, all of the items you pointed out above were translated carefully, but sometimes you have to give yourself a little freedom in order to have a translation that works in the target language. I will address each of your objections:
çevrili = surrounded - there is no other way to translate it correctly
hadi = come on, but "come on come" makes no sense in English.
sevmemek: an infinitive used as a noun is often translated as a gerund in English. In this case it is the only correct way to translate it.
You're right about smal - thanks, I fixed it.
What if is the correct translation of ya __sen.
You're right about yüreğimi ruhumu - I misread it as yüreğimin - I fixed it.
The last two sentences are not subjunctive - they use the 1st person imperative, which doesn't exist in English. That's why I used future to translate them - I think that comes closest to the meaning.
Thank you for the two corrections. | | | 2007년 4월 6일 15:30 | | | Why does this need to be checked by an administrator?
| | | 2007년 4월 6일 20:45 | | | C'était pour ça que j'avais utilisé les mots "what if" en anglais. |
