A teratoma is a tumor caused by reproductive cells capable of being specialized into different forms. Usually, it develops in male testes, female ovaries, and children's skull sutures.
It is common that a teratoma ends up transforming into an irrelevant tissue to the cells surrounding it. For example, a teratomas occurring in an ovary are known to become body hair and teeth.
