Maman tu m'as donné sans me reprendre
Tu m'as appris à partager
Mes biens et mes joies.

Mum, you gave me without taking
What I will never be able to return
The love, the tenderness that all children need
I pray for you Mum that God may hear me
I pray for you Mum that God may hear me
I had a dream
A nice journey in a land
Where lies do not exist
Near you, oh, dear Mum
Far away from trouble
I have read so much softness in your eyes
They told me how to love
I have drawn so many values by being with you
and you taught me how to share
My goodness and my joy.

I know douce means sweet, but in the context I think dear mum is more suitable

I don't know about the first two lines...
I tried translating this myself - got rejected, this one is far better though - but I think the two first lines should be interpreted like this:
"tu m'as donné" - you have given birth to me
"sans me reprendre" - well, it would be a problem if that would happen... can't jump back in there
"Ce que je ne pourrais jamais te rendre" - You can never be the mother of your own mother, so you cannot pay your mother back for the pain she has been through while giving you birth.
Maybe I'm just imagining things, but since it's a poem (deeper meanings), I kind of lost those thoughts in Cisa's translation.

"kindness" instead of "softness" maybe?

Hi Cisa, Francky, Urunghai

The "thing" that the mother has given here is the love and tenderness which every child has a right to.

"que Dieu m'entende" should probably read "as God is my witness"

The "biens" are "belongings" and not "goodness"

I've managed to get it rhyme

Mummy you gave me and never took back
That, which in return, I will ever lack:
The love and tenderness every child needs
I pray for you Mummy, let God hear my plea
I pray for you Mummy, let God hear my plea
I had a dream
Of a trip to a land
A wonderful place where all lying is banned
Close to you, gentle Mummy
Far from troublesome thoughts,
Your gentle eyes, many lessons have taught
They've shown me what love is
Many virtues I've learned by your side
How to share my belongings
And my joyful side

It's not at all perfect, as some of the words have had to change places but I thought maybe it might inspire someone as a starting block!!
