| | Yesterday I felt great because I made "Mărţişoare" at the 1st of March Festival. We took pictures, in short, we had fun.
OanaF's translation is OK, but she translated some words "by ear": I spent a very pleasant day = am petrecut o zi foarte plăcută on the occasion = cu ocazia where is "pe scurt"? |
| | 1 Апрель 2008 18:04 |
| | "pe scurt" means "briefly". A translator can make an omission if he/she finds it not necessary in the target language |

| | Oana, cred ca te-ai grabit. |
| | 1 Апрель 2008 18:06 |
| | Ok, guys, you are right. I complicated a little bit the things |

| | Yep. Acum da.
Felicitari Oana. |

| | Ha, ha...felicitari nemeritate, esti o draguta |

Can you please post in English, your comments about the translation. I don't speak Romanian. If I did, I wouldn't need to set a poll.
If you think something is wrong with the translation, I won't be able to fix it if I can't understand your comments.

| | Dear Tantine, ı dont speak so good English. Sorry.
just I say that, Oana dont was careful.
But now translation was corrected.

| | I would have used "briefly" not "in short", I have not heard it used like that, but I am not the specialist, maybe Tantine can say if it is used. In rest the translation is very well done. |

| | Hi iepurica , Hi girls.
"In short" is not only correct, I like it a lot in this phrase. It puts an emphasis on the fact that there was a lot of fun.
I've edited to put "the" before "1st of March" and I've validated.
I would love to learn more about these March amulets. Maybe one of you (or all of you ) could explain more about them in the culture forum here under "local beliefs", or maybe in the handcrafts section?
