"Quando sei venuto" is incorrect, because that action has not taken place yet (so it cannot be a past tense). I suggest three options:
1) Stiamo insieme quando vieni.
2) Staremo insieme quando verrai.
3) Staremo insieme quando sarai venuto/a.
The first one is very colloquial and employs the present tense; the second one is a little bit more formal and both verbs are in the future tense; the third one is the most correct and the most formal: there are future tense and future perfect tense ( in Italian "futuro anteriore" ) because both actions are future, but "quando sarai venuto" will happen before the action of staying together.
Which one are you going to choose?
| | | 26 Январь 2011 17:10 | | | the first one because it is more like "let's stay together when you come", has the sense of "let's spend our time together when you come", so i guess the first one is better. but if your opinion changes after this explanation, dimmi subito.
thanks dear. | | | 26 Январь 2011 17:53 | | | Per me, va bene così.
| | | 28 Январь 2011 20:31 | | | Hi Bilge! How are you?
Could you please give me a bridge for evaluation?
Teşekkürler!
CC: Bilge Ertan | | | 29 Январь 2011 19:23 | | | Hi Alex !
I am fine and you? Sure, here is your bridge :
OK, come, I am waiting. I also want you to come. Let's get together when you come. I kiss you very much, too my dear.
I know that the last sentence sounds a little bit weird, but I wanted to translate it without changing anything. I mean, "Many kisses from me, too" I know your French is not bad, so in French it is exactly like this: Moi aussi, je t'embrasse bcp mon cher/ ma chère.
I hope it will be useful. Tell me if there's still something unclear. Rica ederim | | | 29 Январь 2011 21:07 | | | I am fine, thank you, maybe just a little bit under stress because of school.
I have a single question: does "Ben de gelmeni istiyorum zaten" express a matter of fact, or a wish?
I mean, does it mean "I also would like you to come" as well?
Thank you very much for your always prompt help!

Hmm, it is difficult to answer this because the two are possible here. I think it doesn't matter, if duguit did the translation of this sentence as if it was a wish, you can accept. It doesn't make any difference in Turkish, but as for me it seems like a wish more than a matter of fact. Don't hesitate to ask me if you have some questions. You're welcome | | | 29 Январь 2011 22:35 | | | I didn't know that Turkish students had vacation in this period. Then, relax for me too!
Oh, definitely I SHOULD learn some Turkish.
I am going to validate duguit's translation. Thank you for your collaboration, Bilge.
Don't hesitate you too if you need some help!CC: Bilge Ertan | | | 30 Январь 2011 17:15 | | | OK, I'll have some fun for you too You're welcome Alex. You could be sure that I'll ask you for help if I need. See you |
