Последнее сообщение | | | | | 17 Сентябрь 2012 14:48 | | | Hi Lev. Understand most of it but could you please send me a bridge in English then I'll do my best to translate it. | | | 18 Сентябрь 2012 06:47 | | | Hello, Lene!
I was confident that you could make that translation, being Danish and Bokmål rather (or very) close. Many thanks in advance!
Here you are the bridge:
"I know Oslo. I have played often there… Nice city and nice country! I would go to live in it right now…, the more to the north the better [the northerlier the better]."
My best regards! | | | 22 Сентябрь 2012 20:20 | | | | | | 23 Сентябрь 2012 16:20 | | | Ha, ha - let's wait for the evaluation.
These two languages are quite close to each other but almost too close and that's a problem too.
| | | 23 Сентябрь 2012 16:38 | | | In what sense this similarity is a problem?
How would you write the same text in strict Danish...?
I'm very interested in this matter, and would love to see the difference.
(If you are not allowed to write this Danish translation as a message, I'll request it formally).
Best regards, Lene!
| | | 24 Сентябрь 2012 01:22 | | | Hi Lev. Here you are. The Danish version written in BLUE as our dear Maddie once tought me :
Jeg kender Oslo. Jeg spillede ofte der ... Smuk by og skønt land! Jeg ville flytte dertil lige nu ..., jo længere nordpå, jo bedre.
Let me hear what you think, if you have time.
Lene
| | | 24 Сентябрь 2012 01:47 | | | Thanks, dear Lene!
But I'll answer you tomorrow. No time left now!
Have a good night. Hugs! | | | 24 Сентябрь 2012 22:11 | | | Hi, Lene!
I’ve found very interesting to study the similarities and dissimilarities between both texts ! The more notorious difference seems to be lexical (the different qualifying adjectives: “behagelig/hyggelig†vs. “smuk/skøntâ€, and above all, the radically different way to say: “go to live in it right nowâ€.
I observe as well that Bokmål and Danish show some curious similarities to English.. There seems to be a narrower relationship than with German itself. Of course, Norse Vikings and then Normans invaded the British Isles and left there their direct heritage...
I feel very grateful for your interest and your attention, Lene!
Thanks a lot!
