Having emerged in the realm of international politics during the 1990s, the theory of social constructivism studies the effects of the social facts which are explained through norms and values on the international system.
The policies of the European Union, which has been developing with the references to norms and other social facts since its foundation, are among the subject matters of the theory of social constructivism.In this study, the target is to examine the system of the European Union not only through economical indications but also in terms of the social characteristics of Europe.
