Last messages | | | | | 7 March 2008 12:29 | | | You still have some problems in presenting your tranlation even though I am going to validate this for a vote. It could have been given a better flow, for instance, take a look at much of a difference in the flow even one word makes:Take Adana has been host to many civilisations until the present and is one of those rare cities that have managed to preserve much of their historical riches.
In general you are doing very well, but remember to try and depend less on your grammer checker and more on the way your translation will be look in the eyes of a native English speaker. Sometimes the automatic checker gives us bad choices as well as good ones, and in the end, translations are simply conversations between two people from different backgrounds. | | | 7 March 2008 15:51 | | kfetoNumber of messages: 953 | ok i changed 'up to' into 'until'
grammer checker? i didn't know cucumis had something like that so i surely havent been using it.
flow? i try to have translations convey the right meaning and be correct concerning grammar.
to a certain extent i also try keep in touch with the 'setting' (id formal-informal)
other than that i don't know what 'flow' is supposed to mean.
the example of it you give in this text(until-up to) i'm not even gonna dignify with a response.
I surely don't see how it would be of such graveness to inhibit you from validating this translation or only reluctantly put it up for a vote. i've seen worse on cucumis.
at best it's a matter of personal preference.
you already rejected a flawless translation of me without any cause or explanation, dramati.

despite my personal message to you and the whole discussion which ensued on the page, you did not bother to explain.
So excuse me for being slightly roused here.
feel free to ignore translations made by me, i'll just wait longer for another expert to take a look at it
