Hello Irini or Chrysso, could you bridge me into English? I'll give half of the points.
Thanks! (never mind if you can't because you're too busy, I can understand)

OK here it goes. The meaning is one 100% correct but since I am in a bit of a hurry I may have made a mistake or two in English. I tried to keep it as verbatim as possible so if you have any question just say so Anything on parenthesis is a comment of mine and not part of the original text.

The note just says that we are talking about ski alpin and that's how a particular term is translated. Note that "games" here means tournament, contest.

Oh and nevermind about the points really! I have enough already

" Being informed (the grammar type is "informe" if that makes any sense, it's the participle) of your participation in the ski alpin games "Parnassos" that will take place in the 4/1 in your country we would like to express to you the unending/unreserved support of our school in this effort of yours and our wishes for good success (bonne chance wishes I guess). Furthermore we are in the happy position (we are glad) to inform you that mr.X will travel to Greece so that he can watch the games from close up (any expression that means that he will be there to watch the games/tournament will do as the expression "from close up" means watch something live, being there). We hope that after the games end (end of the games) you will be able to talk (discourse would be more accurate I think) with him.

We are sure that your appearence (not quite sure what this one means) will be up to our expectations (will be as good as we expect it to be)"
