Si j'étais Ecrivain ou poète...

If I were a writer, like Octavio PAZ I would tell you that between sign and speech, I create
words: Liberty that builds both itself and me, everyday, once again!
And if I were a Poet, after BAUDELAIRE I would tell you: O Time! You gave me your mud and I turned it Gold!
But, Alas, I am neither one nor the other!
I simply want to thank you for the creation and the improvement of your marvelous website!
after Baudelaire: following Baudelaire's example, in Baudelaire's footsteps

Hi RedShadow

Would 'invent' not be better than 'create' or 'build' here?
Otherwise the English looks good so I'll set a poll. Please let me know your thoughts on 'create' / 'build' versus 'invent'

"à l'instar de" has an opposite meaning to "unlike", "à l'instar de quelqu'un" means "the same way as someone would do/tell/write"

Thank you all for your comments.

And yes, I hesitated between 'invent', 'create' and 'make up'.
Though I felt that 'build' sounded better !

Also, it had to be created by itself (from what I understand). I've red that it was called a relexive verb that seems to not really exists in English.
'To build' was like closer to that extent IHMO.

And for "à l'instar de", my bad, I thought it meant to say unlike. :/

I've learned a lot through your corrections. Thank you !
