| RiseTal av boðum: 126 | I think it must be "The evaluation".The rest is excellent |

| | I had originally written "the", but I changed it to "an" because that is the way titles of scientific studies usually are written in English. |

| | Hi Kafetzou,
ain't it "An evaluation of the postoperative analgesic effects of metoclopramide applied/carried out in elective gynaecological operations"? |
| | 15 Juli 2008 20:26 |
| | No. Metoclopramide is a medicine, and since it's being administered post-operatively, that means after the operation, so that's why I used "in the case of" instead of "during".
By the way, your use of "ain't it" is quite strange here. |

| | 1) Kardeşin değilim (senden büyüğüm).
2) Thank you for the clarification, but you could be a bit more polite about it. For example, you could thank me for doing your translation for a start.
3) You did not request British English. If you want a different spelling, you can certainly change it after the translation has been done. |

| | Lilian, please re-set the voting - it seems I misinterpreted the original, although the requester is so rude that maybe we should make him wait a bit. CC: lilian canale |

| | How useful that incoming tool would be now!
At least the requester wouldn't be able to reject a translation before validation. |
| | 16 Juli 2008 03:16 |
| | Did he do that? I can't see that info. |
| | 16 Juli 2008 03:19 |
| | Yes, he did.
I've set a new poll. |

| | Bu kadar daha iyi biliyorsan, niye bizden bu çeviriyi istedin ki?
(If you know so much better, why did you ask us to do this translation for you?)
1) What is the difference between an evaluation and an assessment?
2) "Post-operative" is written with a hyphen according to my Canadian Oxford Dictionary. It doesn't give any other spelling.
3) I know what "kardeÅŸim" means - it's a bit of a mock affectionate put-down, meaning that the person is of lower status than the speaker. It's inappropriate to say it to someone who is doing a favour for you. Furthermore, although you didn't request it, your translation was done by an expert. I am one of the English experts, and the only native speaker of English on this site who can read Turkish well enough to do this translation. So you really should be a bit more respectful in view of the situation.
At the moment, 9 people (not including myself) have voted indicating that this translation is correct. Two of the 9 are Turkish experts on this site. I am not going to change it. You can take it or leave it. |

| | I'll validate this translation the way it is. You don't have to change or explain anything, Kafetzou. The vote of the community was positive and that should be enough. If our friend disagrees he may not use it.
