ιάκωβος é a versão em Grego do nome Thiago, Tiago, Jacó (que é equivalente a Tiago, etc. ) e se lê iácobos.
Já uma transliteração (mudança direta de alfabetos) do seu nome é outra.

no, Thiago too is Ιάκωβος (Iakovos) in Greek. They both come from Sant Iago. The "t" from "Sant" went over to Iago Afterwards the "t" was changed to a "th".
