A little background material on the Haifa association "A chance for the young" סל"צ
The association was established in the year 1999 and uses sport and art as an instrument for the treatment of youth--essentially immigrant youth--that are in distress.
There are 500 adults and youths participating in the frameworks of the sports class and drama workshops.
In the year 2007 we produced a champion in the "European Cadet Judo Championships,†and 25 Israeli champions in 3 sports branches--judo, boxing and wrestling.
We are operating 50 youth sport clubs, weight lifting rooms, drama and theatre classes for boys and girls that exist only from donations and financial assistance.
