The titular is in charge with all the operations performed on the ship. He must hold the necessary licence and a valid endorsement, as well as all the certificates by a licenced State Naval Institution. A solid experience of at least 5-8 years in minor position on a similar ship, also experience with all kinds of electronic navigation systems and computerized equipment are required. He must have a degree from an official Naval School or Academy. Fluency in English is a must.
