| | La multi ani is used for birthdays or holidays. In this case I am sure it refers to a holiday.
wealth = bunastare, belsug
The translation is correct |

| | Iepurica thinks the translation by lecocouk is very good, any explanation for the rejection dramati ?
We can still validate 2 translations if we mistake on a rejection.

| | Sorry but the native speakers raised questions about the translation. I was totally satisfied with the English, but when native speakers question the actual translation from their language I have to listen to them as well, and the vote went against. |

| | sorry, dramati, does sirinler speak romanian? |
| | 27 Mars 2008 16:57 |
| | If I may make a comment here, sirinler does not have Romanian in her language list (I can not understand how could she be so positive about the initial text, written in a language she does not even speak or understand) and azitrad confirmed the translation was correct.
The translation is done absolutely correct, I'm sorry I have not seen this in good time, but, because leocouk pointed out, I had to open the disscusion about it.

| | Well, you have to respond to the people who seem to have found trouble with your translation in a prompt manner. Otherwise, your silence can be taken for acceptance. I don't speak the language and so am forced to determine if a translation is accurate or not based on the votes/input. The English, as I said, was fine. In cases like this I would suggest that you simply submit the translation a second time. The vote is important for me to judge a translation on. Without giving weight to a vote we might as well just ask people to translate anything in anyway they want without any input. Yes, it is true that I can discount a vote, but give me a good reason...defend your translation promptly and start a discussion when the vote is going on, not only after you notice and see it has already been rejected by the vote. Since you have admin status you can always just simply accept your own translation even after it has been rejected anyway, so why not do so now? You do have that veto power, I understand, even in regards to your own translations...am I not correct? |

| | Yep, I4ve allowed to accept 2 translations of the same target languages for this kind of situation where we rejected a translation who should have been accepted.
I think Iepurica is right to ask to a native english speaker before ovveriding an expert evaluation.
Thanks to both of you for you heklp on collaboration on this translation
And thanks to lecocouk! CC: dramati iepurica |

| | sirinler,
Romenceden Türkçeye yapılan çeviri aşağıdaki gibidir.
"Nice yıllara ve bol sağlıklı ve bereketli mutlu bir Yeni Yıl".
Belki bir şekilde yardımcı olur.

| | I don't know actually. Does it really matter? I guess the final decision was made by JP. By the way, how does one opt out of Cucumis? |
| | 31 Mars 2008 04:36 |
| | Wow - are you getting tired of Cucumis, or what? Did you see the post I just put in the new admin forum (monkey wrench forum)?
Anyway, if you really want to opt out, I have no idea how it's done. You'll have to ask jp, I guess. |
