HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) is a script language used to develop web pages on the internet. HTTP (Hyper Text Transfer Protocol) is used for translating HTML files. HTML files are saved on the server's hard drive with the .html or .htm suffix. HTML documents that we have written are no different from text documents. In other words, we don't need to compile HTML documents with a compiler the way we do with ones written in C or Pascal.
