you can always say: أنا أحيا و في أعماقي احتضرbecause the "waw" in arabic can be used to mean "while" and yeah may be its a bit of a twist, or maybe the second part of your statement is too long, maybe just روحي تحتضر
and i dont know why you assumed the speaker is a female
