Thanks CC: Aneta B. | | | 9 Grudzień 2010 22:25 | | | Done.
How did you manage to translate it? Do you know Polish, Lilly?
Anyway, your tranlation is quite fine. Only few edits needed I think:
"You are my love , that I need every single day and like the water I lack"
CC: lilian canale | | | 10 Grudzień 2010 00:04 | | | Hi Aneta,
This translation dates back to 2008 when regular members were still allowed to provide bridges as long as their rating in the language was high enough. Who provided the bridge for this translation was Angelus who holds a rating over 9.5. We used to exchange bridges at that time
About your suggestion, I guess it may be literal, but it doesn't sound correct in English, that's why I split it into two sentences.
Anyway, I googled it now and found:
"You're my angel, which I can not forget, you're my love, I need every day, like water, which I lack ..."
If that's correct (or almost, since I would still make it into two sentences) then the first part is missing in the translation
| | | 10 Grudzień 2010 00:59 | | | I had no idea it was so old. The last edits you did yesterday and I can't see the previous dates, so I just couldn't know it.
Yes, Lilly. I was thinking about separating the parts and making two sentences, but the original was without any punctuation, so I decided to put only a comma.
No matter what google says but we have "and" before: "like water, which I lack".
And the first part is not missing. No worry. It was correct, so I just didn't mention it when making my "suggestion".
I know my English needs improving, so it was just a "suggestion", of course. But, since the translation is so old, there is no longer any need for editing. | | | 10 Grudzień 2010 10:40 | | | What I edited on December 8th was the text in lower case. At that time (2008 ) the rule was keeping the form of the original. If the original was written in caps we should write the translation in caps too, but now that we are trying to correct our database, I removed the caps in the translation and asked you to remove from the original
Besides, I did this translation because "High Quality" was required and none of the English experts knew Polish. So my good friend sent me the bridge so that the request could be complied. | | | 10 Grudzień 2010 23:06 | | | Good job, Lilly! |
