| | I'd still suggest some changes:
The reasons that made me want to study in this university were the good education (-) it offers and its professors. I had done some research on the university before I took the architecture examination. Besides, I've had/gotten information (-) from some of my friends (some friends of mine) who (have ? ) studied in this university. Shortly, I believe (-) it will help me (-) reach my goal. I am certain about that.
Tell me if it conveys the meaning |

| | Thank you it seems great
Only the last sentence actually tells that "I have self confidence (about the matter)/ I am sure of myself" because "I am certain about that" might change the meaning a little bit. Is my suggestion wrong with English? |

| | You may choose between "I've had" and "I've gotten"
the friends ---> some friends (or simply "friends" )
I am sure of myself about the matter
Either you are sure of yourself or you are sure about the matter
Another option would be:
"I am sure of myself regarding this matter" |

| | I guess it seems OK now, lilian |

| | made me or did me ?
....some research on the university...> some reconnoitre on this university |
| | 23 Październik 2009 18:38 |
| | made me
reconnoitre not very usual and used in a military sense: reconnoitre the enemy's position in a war. It doesn't fit here, merdogan.
Thanks anyway. |
