My translation was "never turn back neither to do the run-up".. maybe my mistake was "do" instead of "take"

I tried too..."never look back, not even to prepare" There are a bunch of ways to translate this phrase. For shamy: "never turn back neither to do the run up" doesn't sound native. You'd probably want to use the phrase "running start" for "run up" and you wouldn't want to say "neither" there, also as you said "do" doesn't work there. I thought goncin's translation was along the same lines as mine and i would've accepted that one. The problem is, that this has an idiomatic flavor to it and will not retain the same flow in English unless you are pretty creative with the translation.
