Fiery red maple leaves, crystal-clear valley streams, the high mountain peaks in the distance, blue-green lakes nearby: it was so amazing!
On my last holiday, I went to JiuZhaiGou in China. It was really heaven on earth, a place where your senses reel with the beauty of the scenery. My older sister and I had long wanted to come and see this place, and coming here, it felt like a dream come true.
We first went up into the mountains, to see the maple leaves in their fall colours. The leaves were so red, it was almost as if they had been soaked in red ink! My sister and I picked up so many of them, and we couldn't bring ourselves to put them down again, we loved them so much.
After that, we went down to the lake side, and saw the fish in the water there. It was so interesting to watch them swimming back and forth, and as the stream rippled against the rocks, it made the most beautiful sound.
In this way, we enjoyed three days in the area. At the end, we didn't want to leave: it was great regret that we had to go home again!
This has certainly been the best, most enjoyable vacation I have ever had. I was in such awe and wonder at the spectacular natural beauty of the place, I almost took leave of my senses!
