I can't accept my own translations, fair and square. Right?

Technically you can, but it's advisable to set a poll first in order to get the agreement of the community.
The problem is that if you just set a poll and do not notify me, it will take ages until the translation has enough votes to be accepted, since as you may have noticed there aren't so many users who master Hindi .

What is common is that Francky or Lilian , after some research accept them as admins.
This one, for example, for being a simple sentence will probably be accepted after someone confirms its meaning.
So if you don't want to wait until drkpp takes care of it, just set a poll and I'll be able to help you.

well I set it on the poll. Btw, I fairly doubt that I'm even being of service here. There's an extremely low demand for Hindi. Most of the translations to be done or even waiting to be evaluated date back to years (even if we exclude the translation of the website) and hence in all probability the requester doesn't want them anymore. I knew it already but I felt so bad today while evaluating the translation requested by a girl who wanted a tattoo translated into Hindi in memory of her dead mom who loved Hindi. And it was 2 years back! Don't you think so?

well there are two polls in favor of it. I guess it can be accepted now. I wonder why drkpp voted in support of it and then instead of accepting it he put it in his care. It is a simple phrase after all.
