Hi there...

I would like to know if this text is not to be considered 'isolated words' (the translation is: I love Romania).

Thank you,
Tzicu-Sem

No, it is a conjugated verb, and sentence has on subject, one verb, one object.

You're welcome!

Hello Sem, are you sure that is the correct translation?

Hello Maddie,

I believe it is. Why would it not be?

You believe or you know it for a fact?

I asked a native speaker and it seems that the word "romanyj" doesn't exist in Serbian.

Hello Tzicu-Sem,

The problem with this translation is that "romanyj" doesn't exist in Serbian language and we don't use letter "y" in Serbian Latin, only in Serbian Cyrillic.
Maybe someone wanted to say/write "Romania" but that would be "Rumunija" in Serbian ...

Hi Marija,

You might be right, but I double checked it with a native speaker and I was told it was like I translated. The truth is that I asked if my translation was accurate, but without asking for details about the original text, and at the same time, I was not given any comments of any possible faults that might exist in the original.

Take care,
Tzicu-Sem

At first I thought it was "Romania" too, but then I wasn't so sure.
Unless someone wanted to say it in Serbian in a similar way it is said in other languages - Romania not Rumunija - and made a new word for him/herself.

And if so, "romanyj" could mean anything that has something to do with Romania - Romania, Romanian language, Romanian man or woman...

I understand...
How confusing! Nevertheless, we still do not know what it is about. Could it be, perphaps, what *gamine* suggests, I wonder?
Are we in a quandary? Either way, the matter is now beyond my language skills

russu, conform celor precizate de către Roller_coaster, expertul în limba sârbă, cuvântul "romanyj" nu înseamnă nimic. Nu vrei tu să îţi verifici sursa, poate s-a strecurat vreo greşeală în text? Textul este intraductibil în forma prezentă. Mulţumesc!

So what about this text, just tell me, as I'll reject all translations that never should be done from it if the source-text is erroneous and doesn't mean anything in Serbian.

Who took this off the translations that were in stand-by? Until a valuable reply from a Serbian expert this text should remain in stand-by.

I tried a free Serbian-French online dictionary, and I submitted the word "romanyj", and all I obtained was : "Nema slogova koji odgovaraju upitu"

I have asked russu to check his source, he loged in, did not answer. So, I have cancelled Romanian language, mainly because lakil (the expert in Serbian language) explained that "romanyj" does not mean anything in Serbian.
