You rewrote the request in lower case, but if the translation into Spanish is correct, the request was totally out of frame according to rules #2 (double request - "I love you" ) and #4 (no verb - "many kisses/good afternoon" ).
Is that right? | | | 6 studeni 2010 14:32 | | | Hi Lilian,
The translation is "Many kisses, (have a) nice evening. I love you".
Concerning the rule 4, the verb is implied and that's the usual form we use this wish (when we see "nice evening" we know it's "have a nice evening and not "it's a nice evening", if that was what the requester meant then yes the sentence would be incomplete). The truth is that I am confused on what to do with this kind of requests ("implied verb" , but I think the verb exists as we know which one is used. That's why I just edited it.
| | | 6 studeni 2010 14:57 | | | I know what you mean...rules may be tricky sometimes. Let me tell you what we consider "single words". They are those words that may be easily found in a dictionary without our help. We require a conjugated verb for that reason, I mean the conjugation of a verb can't be found everywhere what makes a complete sentence more difficult to form. In some cases when editing a request like this, we may add the verb to make it acceptable, even if it's quite obvious which verb fits. For this text, we should add:
"(I send you) many kisses. (Have a) nice evening"
See what I mean?
BTW, is it "afternoon" or "evening"? | | | 6 studeni 2010 15:13 | | | Yes, from now on I'll edit similar requests adding the implied verb (when it's quite obvious which one it's used and it does make a difference in the translation of the words).
Yes, it's "evening"="βÏάδυ" ( "afternoon"="απόγευμα" ) | | | 6 studeni 2010 16:37 | | | Actually, I will evaluate the translation because it was already done, otherwise the request would have been removed.
Thanks User10 for your time. | | | 6 studeni 2010 18:09 | | | Sorry for the trouble | | | 6 studeni 2010 19:43 | | | No problem |
