Im zweiten Teil fÃ¼hlt sich Elias durch den erneuten Konflikt mit Ahab und seiner Frau bedroht und flieht in die WÃ¼ste. Mendelssohn gestaltet diesen Teil mit sehr dramatischen ChoreinwÃ¼rfen. Die dreiteilige Arie "Es ist genug", mit der Elias seine Resignation zum Ausdruck bringt, zeigt Parallelen zu der Arie "Es ist vollbracht" aus Bach"s Johannespassion. Der Komponist lÃ¤sst der Musik sehr viel Raum als er den 40-tÃ¤gigen Weg Elias" durch die WÃ¼ste zum Berg Horeb schildert.

Prevođenje Engleski Preveo george_mnt	Ciljni jezik: Engleski In the second part Elias feels threatened because of the renewed conflict with Ahab and his wife and thatÂ´s why he migrates to the desert. Mendelssohn forms this part by the dramatic chorus moment. The 3-partial aria "It's enough", by which Elias expresses his resignation, draws parallels to the aria "It's done" from Bach's "John's passions". The composer leaves to the music much space as he describes the 40-day way of Elias through the desert to Horeb hill.
Primjedbe o prijevodu	I couldn't quite translate the title of the aria "Es ist vollbracht", but the meaning is as close as possible to the original.
