Maybe(?) usual is a better word for "almindeliga".
Normal seem to me more like "every young girl have eating disorders"

As you can see, among them is also "normal". Besides, this is a word quite used by the Faroese people and has the same meanings.

"normal" is not a good translation of "almindelige" in this case, as it implies a normality of the disorders. The meaning is better captured by using "common".

Eating disorders are not "normal", they are "common".
