smy, we don't say "brother" in English for this kind of relationship - only for a monk! Also, I don't think that "helal olsun" is "good for you" in this case, because he's talking about his own future working relationship. How about just "hurray"?

Well, he may be talking about himself or the other person (helal olsun (sana/bana?)). I understand here as "takımdaş olduğumuzu daha yeni öğrendim, helal olsun sana (niye önceden söylemedin)". it seems like an expression of reproach to me. However, I think "good for you" is not a good translation of this expression. Suggestions (of reproach) are welcome though

What do you suggest me to do about "abi"? Maybe I should not include it into the translation at all ?

I think we need to cut "abi".

As for "helal olsun", are you sure it's reproach? I didn't interpret it that way at all - I thought he was expressing that he's really happy to be working with someone who can write so well.

I've cut "abi"s and changed the "good for you" as "Bravo" (assuming he's happy). Do you think it is OK now?

That's fine with me, but remember that I'm not a native speaker of Turkish, so if you thought there was a tone of reproach in there, maybe we should consider that.

P.S. You forgot to cut "brother" in front of Mehmet.

As for "helal olsun", maybe I should write a note under the translation to say that I can't figure out what it expresses (reproach or joy) and you could put it into voting and see what people will say.
