The republic has given us the right to say openly that we are Alevis. It would be blindness to attribute the tricks of political masters to the 80-year-old republic. Alevis do not bow to oppression due to their characters. They won't take up arms and go up the hills, either. They look for all their rights in the political and legal arenas.
Poznámky k překladu	I did not translate the honorifics except for "shah". "Alevi" is sometimes spelled as "Alewite" but some scholars do not agree that they are the same. Instead of "in the political and legal arenas" you could say "on the political and legal platform". "legal" can be "judicial". Ahmet Toprak
