Title
Tu n´es plus qu´une pauvre épave, Chienne...
Text
Submitted by Tayfun4186
Source language: French

Tu n´es plus qu´une pauvre épave,
Chienne crevée au fil de l´eau
Mais je reste ton esclave
Et plonge dans le ruisseau
Quand le souvenir s´arrête
Et l´océan de l´oubli,
Brisant nos coeurs et nos têtes,
A jamais, nous réunit.

Title
Sen, karaya oturmuş,zavallı bir enkaz olursun...
Translation
Turkish

Translated by turkishmiss
Target language: Turkish

Sen,karaya oturmuş,zavallı bir enkaz olursun,
tükenmiş bir fahişe
Fakat ben hala senin kölen.
Ve akıntıya dalıp,seni çıkartırım,
hafızan durduğu zaman.
Ve kalplerimizle kafalarımızı kıran
kayıtsızlık denizi,
sonsuza dek bizi birleÅŸtirir.

Yes you're right Figen, this one is very hard.

You became a poor wreck
A bitch whracked in the court of the river
But I'm still your slave
And (I) plunge in the stream
when memory stops
and the oblivion sea
breaking our hearts and our heads
forever join us together

Hey Figen,
this sentence :
Et plonge dans le ruisseau
In france we have an expression,
to take somebody out of the "stream"
In English
to take somebody out of the gutter
so I think In this sentence it's this "stream"
so maybe
aşağıda alırım

dear miss,
after all and 'at last' I've finished
but you'll see there's different meaning:
'Sen, karaya oturmuş, zavallı bir enkaz olurdun,
tükenmiş bir fahişe…
Fakat ben hala kölenim
ve seni bataktan çıkartırdım/çekerdim,
hafızan durduğu zaman.
Ve kalplerimizle kafalarımızı kıran
kayıtsızlık denizi,
sonsuza dek, bizi birleÅŸtirirdi.'
and still I'm not sure...
I'm not sure for tenses also...
I'm in wondering about your comment
(bu son cümlem doğru oldu mu?)

The text is in the present tense.

the sentence number 4, he says "And (I) plunge in the stream" but stream is not a real stream I think aşağıdan almak is the correct meaning for this sentence.
His life change because this girl has a poor life so he says "I plunge in the stream"

you told me about 'to take somebody out of the gutter', that one has a meaning in turkish 'bataktan kurtarmak/çıkartmak', that's why I used it.
I agree with 'His life change because this girl has a poor life so he says "I plunge in the stream" '
but as I understood 'poor' here is 'bad/rascal', I think-kötü yola düşmüş-and hi wants to rescue/save/snatch off her from that sinner life. so this sinner life is the 'stream' here. we can use 'akıntıdan çekip almak' also, it has similar meaning with 'aşağıdan çekip almak'.
what do you think?

Yes Figen you are right, I just want you to understand the meaning of stream in this case, sorry.
the sentence is just :
I plunge in the stream

oh, dear miss, why did you say sorry, there's nothing wrong...let me write in turkish, will you understand?
miss, acaba son mesajımı kaba mı yazdım? kusura bakma, öyle bir niyetim yoktu, sadece benim ingilizcem fluent değil
ben seni çok iyi anladım and I think we both are talking about same thing 'I plunge in the stream' mecazi anlamda,so this expression is a metaphor, isn't it? for example, we say for somebody 'bu kız akıntıya kapıldı,gidiyor ama bakalım sonu ne olacak' and 'akıntı' here is a metaphor, right? and we say 'I plunge in the stream' when we're helping somebody to come out from harmful situation. doğru anlamışmıyım?
miss, let's change that turkish expression as:
've akıntıya dalıp,seni çıkartırım'-bu olur mu? or 've akıntıya atılır, seni yukarıya çekerim'.
now, here I mean 'you are in the stream-bad position-and I plung there to take you out-to the good condition'
what about these last examples? and then I'll change the tenses in the turkish text

des erreurs de temps de verbe et des termes inapproppriés : chienne = köpek, et le traducteur confond avec prostituée!!! Il ajoute aussi des phrases inexistantes. Bref, c'est à refaire....

Je pense que la chienne dont parle Jacques Brel dans cette chanson n'est pas l'animal mais bien la femme qu'il qualifie de chienne. Une femme que l'on qualifie de chienne n'est elle pas une garce?
Les phrases inexistantes, peux tu donner un exemple.
