Last messages | | | | | 13 April 2008 22:01 | | | Hi wkn
As an expert you should remember that this kind of request (what is considered as single words is not allowed anymore on cucumis.org.
I'll have to reject this translation, but you already have it.
Ollka, this rejection will not harm your rating, so don't worry and next time you see a request of single words, please call for an admin by clicking on the red ball at the top of the page, OK? | | | 13 April 2008 23:45 | | wknNumber of messages: 332 | Something must have happened in the backend system. I did not request this translation, as well as a number of other translations that I see stand as requested by me. I have maybe made one or two requests in all my time here. I don't do requests, I do translations.
JP, any idea what might have happened? CC: lilian canale cucumis | | | 13 April 2008 23:54 | | | In May 2007, when this request was submitted, single words translation requests still were accepted, and since October maybe no admin could see it and remove the request... | | | 14 April 2008 09:56 | | | wkn, there is maybe a bug on the site but the most probable thing is that somebody has used your account without your permission (on a public computer you had logged in for example).
lilian, when we can't intercept an invalid request before it is translated, I don't think we should reject the submition of the translator. If the translator knows the rule or if the text is very small, I'm OK to reject it. But in this case, olka is quite new to the site and she translated a request without knowing it was invalid. In that case I think we should let the translation in the state "to be evaluated", what do you think ?
CC: lilian canale Francky5591 goncin | | | 14 April 2008 09:51 | | | OK, JP, I set this translation back to evaluation | | | 14 April 2008 14:48 | | | That's fair enough by me, jp.
I hate rejecting translations, specially good ones like this.
Ollka is a very active translator, but still a newby and doesn't know all the rules. I'll explain some rules to her and I'm sure she will understand and warn us in the future about "suspicious" texts like this. | | | 14 April 2008 15:26 | | | So after chatting with wkn, we have the explanation now.
A long time ago (1 or 2 years ago), wkn requested an english bridge with his own points to help this request being translated.
The original request was not in english, and I don't know which target language it was. But as it was only "words", I guess the original target language has been removed recently.
That's why the request looks like ti was requested by wkn, but actually it is not. You can click on the lithuanian flag to view who is the original requester.
sorry if I'm not clear enough. CC: lilian canale Francky5591 |
