No bridge!

Well, it would be:
"A day which started well is finished bad, a day started bad is finished worse."

Hope it helped.

Usually means "but", but in this case is used in order to make a comparission, or to show what happens (in extenso) to a day that started bad.
Romanian is not always easy to be translated, it has another kind of gramatical structure.

I translated it into something like "Like a day which started well finishes bad, a day started bad finishes even worse". So it seems I got the general idea here.

It can be also "if a day...., than a day...". Also corect.

A day started well, it ends bad, and a day started bad, it ends worse.
well, more or less ...It's similar to one of Murphy's laws(not sure, though ): "which begins well it will have a bad ending, and which begins bad, it will end even worse."
