ตอบล่าสุด | | | | | 12 May 2008 18:00 | | | hi kafetzou
sorry if I disturbed you.
this translation has been waiting for long time. I want to evaluate it, but I didn't understand the matter about 'dile göre karakter ayarlaması 698/520'. there says, we should move the english translation to the explanation space under the original, but I don't have an idea, how? I really need a help.
Would you help me, please?
Already thanks
note:
(becouse of that) I didn't evaluate also other translations with same form | | | 12 May 2008 18:03 | | | | | | 13 May 2008 01:56 | | | Sorry, but I don't know what you're talking about - can you explain? | | | 13 May 2008 14:57 | | | I'm asking about this text(it's written on the pool page under the turkish translation 'hıdırellez'):
'Before accepting a translation, check that there aren't any comments or multiple translation choices in the main translation as it would corrupt the ratio between the numbers of characters by language. If needed, edit and move the comments or the less plausible translation choices into the "Remarks about the translation" field of the form.698/520' | | | 13 May 2008 16:55 | | | I don't see that - I'm looking at the English interface. What's a "pool page"? | | | 13 May 2008 16:56 | | | | | | 13 May 2008 17:28 | | | oh, sorry than,
'pool page' I mean the page where're translations waiting to be evaluated, perhaps it has different term, but I don't know it.
and I have thought you can see it kafetzou, sorry again! I wasted your time.
| | | 13 May 2008 18:36 | | | That's OK. It sounds like there's an HTML error on the pop-up page, and I am an administrator, so it's a good thing you alerted me. | | | 13 May 2008 18:16 | | | rahatlattın beni, kafetzou | | | 13 May 2008 23:32 | | | FIGEN KIRCI, the message you saw, I think is displayed when the system has detected a possible too long or too short translation. In this case, I think the turkish translation is much longer than the english source text.
But this is only a warning and if the translation is correct, you don't have to pay attention to it.
Hopefully it's more clear now | | | 14 May 2008 00:17 | | | oh,you're great jp,
I was asking exaclty about this and it's perfectly clear now
thank you very much indeed
| | | 14 May 2008 03:47 | | | Oh - I thought you were asking about the numbers at the end of the warning: "698/520"
BTW, jp I told you a while back that this warning was coming up far too often when translating from or into Turkish, and that it has to do with the nature of Turkish. You told me that the word ratio would self-adjust, but it never has. |
