Mahsun Kırmızıgül - Bizden Değildir Bizden...
Text

Source language: Turkish

(Nerede yardımlaşma varsa,
nerede sevgi varsa Allah oradadır....)
Gönülden özürlü insanlar azmış
Dünyayı savaşlar yoksulluk sarmış
Kötüler için dört kitap ne yazmış......
Canlara kıyanlar, ırkçılık yapanlar,
Zulmeden insanlar bizden deÄŸildir.....
Tanımaz kötüler ne kitap ne yasa
Dünyada savaşlar artık son bulsa
Firavuna ne söylemiş ya Musa......
Canlara kıyanlar, ırkçılık yapanlar,
Zulmeden insanlar bizden deÄŸildir....
Körelmiş yürekler sevgiyle dolsa
Aç kalan çocuklar artık ağlamasa
Sevgi için ne söylemiş ya ısa.....
ınsanı sevmeyen, merhamet etmeyen,
Kul hakkını yiyen bizden değildir...
Hürriyet tükenmiş bitmiş adalet
Günahsız insanlar çeker eziyet
Ümmete ne söylemiş ya Muhammed...
Garibe bakmayan, yardıma koşmayan,
Allah'dan korkmayan bizden deÄŸildir

Title
Mahsun Kırmızıgül - They are not of us
Translation
English

Translated by kafetzou
Target language: English

(Wherever there are people helping each other,
wherever there is love, God is there ...)
The people with crippled hearts are wreaking havoc
Wars and poverty have taken over the world
What did the Four Books write about bad people ...
Those who kill, who commit acts of racism,
Who torture are not of us ...
Evil people heed neither book nor law
May the wars end in this world finally
What Moses said to the Pharaoh,
Those who kill, who commit acts of racism,
Who torture are not of us ...
May the hardened hearts fill with love
May the hungry children cry no more
What Jesus said about love ...
Those who do not love, have no mercy,
trample on human rights are not of us ...
Freedom has been used up, justice is finished
People without sin are tormented
What Mohammed said to the community ...
Those who do not care for others, who do not rush to help,
Who do not fear God are not of us

"gönülden özürlü insanlar" satırının çevirisini hatalı,
"azmış" "özürlü" "kusurlu" anlamında kullanılmış ve "azmış" "azmak" fiilinden geliyor.

"Tanımaz kötüler ne kitap ne yasa" kötülerin kitapları ve yasaları umursamadığı, takmadığı anlamına geliyor

serba, smy ile aynı fikirde misin?

Gönülden özürlü insanlar azmış = People whose hearts are disabled are festering?

This just doesn't work in English. Are these people cold-hearted, or broken-hearted? Is their situation getting worse, or are they becoming more and more in number?

kafetzou, azmak means "to get wild, get out of control" here, and "imperfect" is better than "disabled" for this case

So is it the people who are out of control, or the number of people that is out of control?

yes it is the "people", not "number" that is out of control, this verb is not used for numbers.

I changed it, but I don't like it - it's meaningless in English. What are "Gönülden özürlü" people? Are they people who cannot love, or people who have been hurt by other people?

And when we say they're going wild, does it mean they're running around in the streets like crazy, or does it mean they're getting really angry, or what?

gönülden özürlü insanlar demekle burada yani gönlünde iyilik sevgi kalmamış insanlar demek istiyor. bunların da etrafa kötülük saçtığını vurgulamak istiyor azmış demekle.

Oh thank you - that's really helpful. Now how about this line:

Firavun ne söylemiş ya Musa......

What is this a reference to? What did the Pharaoh say? Did he say it to Moses, or did Moses say it to him?

serba

Firavun ne söylemiş ya Musa......

burada iki ayrı cümle var
Firavun ne söylemiş?
peki, Musa ne söylemiş ?

Evils unknown by book nor law

What the pharaohs said, oh Moses

ne söylemiş firavun ya musa...

buradaki "ya" kelimesi "ve" anlamında yani bence "oh" değil "ve" kelimesi kullanılmalı yani "and" demeli

How is it now, serba?

The thing that still bothers me is that I don't know what the Pharaoh said that should be memorable - he was the bad guy that Moses was liberating his people from!

"Firavun ne dedi ya Musa" değil "Firavuna ne dedi ya Musa" olmalı, Sevgi için ne söylemiş ya ısa..... Ümmete ne söylemiş ya Muhammed...
