Senden çok uzakta bir yerlerdeydim, Bazen sevinc...
Text
Submitted by sinank
Source language: Turks

Senden çok uzakta bir yerlerdeydim,
Bazen sevinc kederlerdeyim,
İnan tatlim kandım senin aşkına.
Her yağmur yağdıgında,
Gözlerin hep aklımda,
Adını ne zaman ansam,
YaÄŸmur yaÄŸar buralara.
Kısacık bir aşkdı bu yaşadığımız,
Tatlı bir oyundu oynadığımız,
Sence baÅŸka ne olabilir bu,
Bence Ãœzerimize yaÄŸan bir yaz yaÄŸmuru.
Remarks about the translation

Title
I was in a place very far away from you, Sometimes in happiness...
Translation
Engels

Translated by turkishmiss
Target language: Engels

I was in a place very far away from you
Sometimes in happiness sometimes in sadness
Believe sweetheart, I believed in your love
Whenever it rains
Your eyes are always in my thoughts
Whenever I call your name
It rains here
It was a very short love the one we have lived
It was a sweet game we have played
In your mind what else might it be
In my mind it’s a summer rain which falls upon us

çok güzel Turkishmiss. orjinaldaki "kandım aşkına", sadece "believed in your love"-dan daha güzel ve anlamlı değilmi? ama ingilizcem yetmiyor:-) hani, "kandırmak"-"kanmak"... something like was deceived or disappointed (slightly) maybe...

Hi katranjyly

I can't read any Turkish unfortunately

So as I can take your comments into account, could you write your message in English (or in French)

Hi Miss

In English "I believed" implies, for me, a deception, since it is in the past tense, indicating that it is no longer the case so, personally, I find it "strong" enough a term for translating kanmak.
