Hun sagde: Hr.
Hun sagde: Hr. Bedre end Go, hvad gør De her i min butik og så i dansesko der står så fint til Deres sørgmodige blik Hr.

There goes my class teacher
He said: Vanilla, what’s up? Don't disturb me, let me be alone. If you only knew how much disturbance you can start. Vanilla, I think that it's best that you leave, it's pathetic, and it’s ridiculous - and you have homework in English for tomorrow.
She said: Mr. Big Nasty Wolf, you send me such strange smiles, sir. Sir, you say that it's for my own sake. Sir, you don't want to help me with my Danish essay. Mr. Very Dangerous Wolf, blow me and the house down, don’t let other girls into your big nasty arms.
Bab - bab - da - dab, there goes my class teacher, bab - bab - da - dab, it's he that goes there.
He said: Hello Vanilla, hi -I just happened to come by and I have been thinking about you. There is so much that I want to say, but Vanilla, good bye! It will not work with me, I'm too wise and too boring, and I have duties for tomorrow.
She said: Mr Better than Good, what are you doing here in my store, and in dance shoes that look so fine together with your melancholic look. Mr. Kindness, yourself, still come and show me some steps. Dance with me in your dreams.
Bab - bab - da - dab, there goes my class teacher, bab - bab - da - dab, it's he that goes there.
He said: Vanilla, dammit, stop calling me sir, I can sure be mad, yes I can. Can't you just drive me home? Please, Vanilla stop, I'm weak and I had enough, please let me off here. She said: good bye, Mr. class teacher.
Bab - bab - da - dab, there went my class teacher, bab - bab - da - dab, it's he that goes there.

What's that??? | | | 11 August 2008 16:22 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Oh, you can reject it if it is bad Lilian.
I tried ...and I also know that my English is a bit rusty, I better translate the shorter ones. | | | 11 August 2008 16:24 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | No hard feelings if you reject it. | | | 11 August 2008 16:55 | | | I think you misunderstood my comment!
I wasn't criticizing your translation!
I wanted to know what was it about, it looks really weird to me. Is that some kind of game?
What are those names? | | | 11 August 2008 17:16 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | OK, my misunderstanding.
To be true the source looks weird to me too, It is not about a game ...
The names are just names, and this is a song /lyrics. Here..
And I found a English translation now at the net! Here.
I could have copy/paste that one instead, because this translation took a LOT of time to write. | | | 11 August 2008 17:41 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | And the song performed by Danish band TV-2, here. | | | 11 August 2008 18:06 | | | OK, I've just made a few corrections and I'll set a poll.
Let's see what happens. | | | 11 August 2008 18:22 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | | | | 11 August 2008 19:45 | | | Vanilla, hva nu --> Vanilla, what´s up
du har engelsk for til i morgen --> you have homework in English for tomorrow
De sender mig sådan et underligt smil --> De = you
De siger, at det er for min egen skuld --> De = you
De ikke vil hjælpe mig med min danske stil --> De = you , and "stil" = essay
luk ikke andre piger ind --> don´t let other girls into
jeg kom tilfældigvis lige forbi --> I just happened to come by
hold nu op med det der De og Dem --> I actually have no idea how to translate this but "De" and "Dem" are formal and oldfashion ways of adressing a person so what she´s saying is that he should stop being so formal towards her, by using those forms in stead of using the informal "you".
She said: God bye, Mr. class teacher. --> good bye
| | | 11 August 2008 19:11 | | wknNumber of messages: 332 | What Anita said should be corrected. | | | 11 August 2008 19:52 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Thanks Anita (and wkn also) for the corrections and also for explaining Danish words that was not clear for me!
Lilian, can one write "stop calling me YOU in a formal way" instead of "stop doing that …They and Them
| | | 11 August 2008 20:03 | | | another way of getting around it could be to replace "They" with "sir":
Mr. Big Nasty Wolf, you send me such strange smiles, sir.
Sir, you say it's for my own sake.
Sir, you don't want to help me with my Danish essay.
Vanilla, dammit, stop calling me sir
What do you think?
| | | 11 August 2008 20:07 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Yes, smart idea.
Lilian?
| | | 11 August 2008 20:12 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | Shouldn't it be "damned" instead of "dammit"? | | | 11 August 2008 20:32 | | | Go ahead with the corrections. And "dammit!" "damn! "damned!" is all the same. | | | 11 August 2008 20:55 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | | | | 12 August 2008 14:38 | | | Lilian, wouldn´t it be better to replace "Mr. Kindness yourselves" with "Mr. Kindness in person"? | | | 12 August 2008 14:53 | | | "Mr. Kindness, yourself" would be even better. | | | 12 August 2008 14:55 | | piasNumber of messages: 8113 | I'll edit. |
