Translation
English

Translated by lilian canale
Target language: English

I would carry out among the students, the survey about the valuation of the teaching techniques.
Remarks about the translation
didactics are defined as the activities of educating or instructing; activities that impart knowledge or skill. Could probably use any of these synonyms: education, educational activity, instruction, pedagogy, teaching. Most non-professional English audiences would have no clue as what the word is.

Dramati:
You've written this comment ( But the translation can use this in English depending on the audience intended.) on the wrong place, as if it was part of the translation. I've taken that out of the text.
Also, the request to change the word "didactics" should have been placed under the translation as a message, not as a comment.
I used "teaching techniques" instead.
Is that any better?

Hi Lilian & Dramati

Just a few comments. The translation seems fine to me though maybe the word "valuation" would be better as "evaluation" (but both are grammaticaly acceptable).

I liked the word "didactics" and can't see any reason why English speaking people would not understand the word.

Maybe an extra comma would help with the readability. I suggest the following:

"I would carry out, among the students,..."

Hi, Tantine, nice to meet you.

I liked didactics, too.

..., among the students,...

between commas, wouldn't it seem to be an appositive, which is not the case here?

Nice to meet you too Lilian.

I think that in this particular case "among the students" is a complement to the phrase and, in this case, needs to be separated from the body of the phrase by commas.

If you remove such a complement from a phrase, the phrase should still be perfectly understandable (which is the case here):

"I would carry out the survey about the valuation of the teaching techniques."

See what I mean?

What do you think?

Tantine:

I can't edit that, but you or dramati can.
So, go ahead!

Hugs
Lilian.
