hmm, i had to research a bit, its a type of a Joss Stick (a wooden rod of incense) that is widely known in china, arab nation, india, turkey and the orient in general... and its from a place or a country called Kumar (not sure where that was but most probably around or in India) not to be mixed with a similar word in Arabic that means gambling, i also found reference to Kumar as in a type of bird that flies over some islands in the Red Sea, thus called the Kumarian Islands... not sure of the English word, i can research a bit to find more about it, but basically:
the Kumarian Incense, would be the best description, and the word (apparently) is popular today in the Arab gulf...
i found references to this word in Sinbad original stories, and some old traveling books of arabia
its been commercially sold as a perfume, here is a photo:
