Text
Submitted by crazycloud
Source language: Italian

Io non potrò mai dimenticare quando mi stringevi. Ricordo ancora il tempo passato con te. Ma il mio sogno è restare nel tuo cuore così ricco d'amore.
Remarks about the translation
message

Witchy -> I've edited the text, but as Apple I cannot understand what the last four words mean...
I've modified the last 4 words with your help. Hope it's ok.

Title
I won't be able to forget...
Translation
English

Translated by CocoT
Target language: English

I won't be able to forget the moment you held me. I still remember the time I spent with you. But my dream is to remain in your heart like riches of love.
Remarks about the translation
- ricche = ricchezze ?
- coure = core?
- da more = d'amore ?
- "moment(s)" - literally, "when"

That last sentence is definitely problematic in English, but I have no idea how to fix it.

Yeah, I'm sorry, it's kind of goofy... "like a treasure of love", maybe?

Even "my dreams stay in your heart" is very strange in English.

Thanks for the editing, Witchy

For the first part of that second clause, "my dream remains", maybe? It's still a little weird, but maybe it's poetic.

Besides the last four words that, as they are, are untraductable (before translating them in English, I think it better wait until someone fixes them in Italian) :
1. -the moment- in the Italian text there is an imperfect, I understand that the "holding" is not a moment, or some moments, but every time you held me, the way you used to hold me;
2. -but my dream remain(s)- you maybe forgot "è"
my dream is to remain..., I dream of stayng..

Too bad the original poster isn't here to tell us. In all cases, I think it'd be fair that you guys (apple and nava91) receive the points, as my translation was inadequate (even though obviously the original was itself inadequate). I'll donate those points if it's not done, okay?

Thanks to you both, Coco and Nava, but I think it just normal to cooperate and I would let Coco keep his points. We may need your help sooner or later!
Ricciodimare, ce ne eravamo accorti che il testo era strano. sapessi com'era prima.....
così al posto di come: OK
- così ricco d'amore -

The original poster is an Arabic speaker, and apparently speaks/reads no other language (I'm not sure what she's doing on this site, then). We're going to have to make a decision - I think I'm going to edit the "s" on "remain" and accept it.

Je ne suis pas sûr, mais je crois que ajouter la "s" est faux! Parce que ce n'est pas le "dream" qui reste dans le coeur, mais la personne! Donc, une version française serait: "Mais mon rêve est de rester dans ton coeur etc" En anglais: "But my dream is that I remain in your heart ecc" (mon anglais n'est pas si bon...)

My understanding is that the original Italian was written incorrectly, and thus the meaning is ambiguous, or at least unclear, so I think it's OK to leave the unclear translation as is - it's the most faithful translation, right?

Oh wait a minute - I get it now: My dream is to remain in your heart like riches of love (whatever that is). I'll change it.

Kafetzou, please! you were too quick to accept the translation. OK, you don't understand well Italian, but we had a long discussion about this text.
So, please, can you correct:
"the moment" (it is not a moment, but many moments, a progressive action)
as for the ending words it would be better sth like "in your heart so rich of love" (choosing the better way to put it in English)
