Gamine, I have written this comment under the Spanish translation (that is made based on the French version):

"the person requesting the translation from Danish is asking for a direct translation, so it shouldn´t say "to lose all or to win nothing" in Spanish (by using the infinitive form) but rather "lose all or win nothing", that is, in the present tense and not in the infinitive form (my Spanish is rusty but in Portuguese it would go: "perde tudo ou não ganha nada" )

I believe the French version should be corrected as well. "

Francky, would you have a look at Anita's post above? I have a version in Spanish of this line at the poll which was obviously based on the French translation. If one is to be corrected the other, as Anita says, should also be.

Have I got to edit using the present tense, or the imperative from indicative tense?

Actually, now we are waiting for an answer from the original requester about the correct meaning of the sentence. As soon as Anita gets the answer we'll now.

Hi Francky. I can't see where the fault is in the French tranlation. Can you explain it to me, please.

The tricky thing here is that the nordic languages don't change the verb for different persons as in french and spanish, So we can't tell if it should be: "perd tout ou ne gagne rien"
ou bien:" perds tout ou ne gagnes rien" as you don't know who is the subject. But I think it should be the same person for both verbs.
The Danish is in the present tense though,

Pitbull7100 logged in after the messages, but he didn't answer.
Anita, what is your guess about the original?
We may correct the translations according to it.

I´d say we translate it as: "Tab alt eller vind ingenting", that is, in the imperative form (perca tudo ou não ganhe nada, in Portuguese)

We have another problem here. Do you remember we thought this version would make more sense?
What about editing this text first and then, adapting the translations?

Yes, I do remember that "little detail" :-)

Actually, I am in favour of rejecting the translation request of this sentence and only focus on the other one (the one you linked to) that surely makes a lot more sense. And since pitbull doesn´t answer....
Can we do that?

This is what I'll do:
I'm editing this request with the other text and ask the translators of the French and Spanish versions to adapt them into the new shape using imperative. OK?

The text has been changed, could you please adapt your translation?
